Anchorage resident James M. Kahner, 33, a food company supervisor, died Oct. 23 at Humana HospitalAlaska.

A funeral is being held today in Minneapolis.

Mr. Kahner was born Dec. 30, 1955, in Minneapolis.

He had been employed with Northwind Foods as a district supervisor. He was also a graduate student in the MBA program at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

He enjoyed fishing, sports, golf, bowling and the outdoors.

Mr. Kahner is survived by his parents, Marvin and Rosann, both of Minneapolis; his brother, Daniel, of Minneapolis; and his maternal grandmother, Bess Sher, of St. Louis Park, Minn.

Burial will be in Temple Israel Memorial Park in Minneapolis.

Local funeral arrangements were by Witzleben Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Bragaw Chapel.
